Lindsey Hughes, P-LPC
LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR
Lindsey believes that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience, even during life's most difficult seasons. Her approach is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, creating a supportive environment where clients feel heard, valued, and accepted. She also incorporates Solution-Focused techniques, Motivational Interviewing, and resilience-based approaches to help clients build on their existing strengths and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
Lindsey enjoys working with college students and adults facing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, addiction and recovery concerns, and the unique challenges experienced by family members of those struggling with addiction. She is passionate about helping clients identify their strengths, develop effective coping skills, and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and self-awareness.
She views counseling as a collaborative process and believes meaningful growth occurs when clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to pursue goals that align with their values. Her role is to walk alongside clients as they gain insight, build confidence, and create positive change in their lives.
Before becoming a counselor, Lindsey spent 17 years as an educator, supporting children, adolescents, and families through academic, emotional, and personal challenges. This experience deepened her passion for helping others navigate obstacles, recognize their strengths, and move toward healing and growth.
Lindsey has a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to seek support and is committed to meeting each client with empathy, respect, and understanding. Whether a client is navigating a difficult season, adjusting to a major life transition, or seeking personal growth, she strives to provide a safe and encouraging space for the journey.
