FAQ
Therapy is a process that involves you exploring your concerns and issues with a mental health professional. That relationship is so important to the change you want to see in your life. Here is a list of frequently asked questions about what it is like to be a client at our clinic.
BOOKING AND FIRST APPOINTMENT
Q: What should I expect when booking my first appointment?
To schedule, please call our office at (662) 371-1711 or email admin@wellnesscentersusa.com with your phone number and a convenient time for us to call. Our trained front desk staff will help match you with the therapist who best fits your needs. Some clients also like to review our clinicians’ photos and profiles on our website before scheduling.
During the booking process, our staff will collect your insurance information and review important clinic policies with you. This call typically takes about 10 minutes.
Q: What should I expect at my first appointment?
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by our front desk staff and offered a tour of the clinic. Coffee, tea, and water are always available in our waiting area. You’ll receive intake forms via email before your appointment; please complete these ahead of time. If you’re unable to do so, we ask that you arrive 30 minutes early to complete them in person.
INSURANCE AND PAYMENTS
Q: What insurance do you accept?
We are currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi. For all other providers, we are happy to supply you with a superbill to submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
Q: How much does therapy cost without insurance?
Our self-pay rates range from $125–$205 per session, depending on the provider’s licensure status, education, and experience.
Q: Do you accept HSA/FSA cards?
Yes, many clients use their Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards to pay for services.
FINDING THE RIGHT FIT
Q: What if I don’t feel comfortable with my therapist?
Therapy works best when you feel connected to your provider. If you don’t feel like your therapist is the right match, that’s completely normal. Please let our front desk staff or a leadership team member know — we’ll help you transition to another therapist who may be a better fit for your goals.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Q: Do you provide emotional support animal (ESA) letters?
While some of our therapists may provide ESA letters for established clients, as a clinic we generally do not offer them.
Q: Do you provide medication management?
We do not currently provide medication management. However, we maintain a trusted referral list of local medical providers and psychiatrists for clients who may benefit from this service.
Q: Do you provide psychological testing?
We do not offer psychological testing at this time, but we can connect you with professionals in our referral network who do.
POLICIES AND GUIDELINES
Q: Can I bring an animal to my appointment?
For the comfort and safety of all clients, animals are not allowed in the clinic unless they are documented service animals. If you plan to bring a service animal, please let our front desk staff know in advance so we can make accommodations.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a fee, as this time was reserved specifically for you.
PARENTS AND COLLEGE STUDENTS
Q: I’m a parent of a college student and concerned about my child. Can I book them a session?
You’re not alone — we work with many college students navigating the challenges of this transition. If your child is 18 or older, they must schedule and manage their own appointments unless they give written consent for you to be involved. You’re welcome to be present during the initial scheduling call if your child chooses.
Once your child is established with a therapist, their provider cannot discuss sessions with you without their explicit permission, in accordance with confidentiality laws.
WELLNESS SERVICES
Q: Do you offer massage therapy?
Yes. In addition to counseling, we offer therapeutic massage, including Thai massage, which combines assisted stretching, rhythmic compression, and acupressure. Massage is available as a private-pay service.
Q: Do you sell gift certificates for massage?
Yes, gift certificates are available for purchase at the front desk or by phone.
CRISIS AND EMERGENCIES
Q: What should I do if I’m in crisis?
If you are in immediate danger, please call 911. For mental health crises, you can also call or text 988 to connect with the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Our clinic is not able to provide 24/7 crisis services.
