CARMEN HILLHOUSE, P-LPC
PRE-LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR
I support individuals navigating anxiety, academic and life stress, anger, depression, relationship challenges, and grief, including the often unspoken losses that extend beyond death. My background includes working in a rehabilitation setting, where I supported both clients and their families through complex emotional and behavioral journeys. In this work, I came to value the importance of a strengths based perspective, integrating mindfulness and grounding to help clients build awareness, emotionally regulate, and reconnect with resilience.
I believe you do not have to go through difficult times alone. Life’s unexpected twists can feel overwhelming, but they also hold opportunities for growth and transformation. Healing is a personal journey, and I approach therapy as a collaborative process rooted in empathy, honesty, and presence.
My style blends evidence based techniques with deep respect for your pace and process. I invite you to develop practical tools for coping while also inviting reflection, growth, and self compassion. For me, true healing is not just about “getting through”, it’s about creating space to grow, finding balance, and moving forward with clarity, intention, and courage.
You are not broken. You are worthy of support. I am here to walk alongside you, creating a safe and supportive space where you can build boundaries, restore balance, and move toward meaningful change, one step at a time.
