LANA SANDERS, M.Ed., LPC

I believe life is hard enough without our lack of grace for ourselves making it harder. I primarily take an existential approach geared towards finding meaning in our existence and more importantly, our suffering. I believe in 3 key components of self-growth and recovery: honesty (H), open-mindedness (O), and willingness (W). Through active and reflective listening in a safe, judgment free environment, my hope is to help you better understand yourself and your existence.

I have extensive experience working with addiction and trauma. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional in training with emphasis on the nervous system’s role in trauma as well as somatic recovery. I practice from a combination of therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, logotherapy, aspects of Gestalt therapy, and Christian-based therapy upon request.

“I understand now that I’m not a mess but a deeply feeling person in a messy world. I explain that now, when someone asks me why I cry so often, I say, “For the same reason I laugh so often – because I’m paying attention.
