Dr. Jeannie Falkner, PhD, LCSW
LICENSED CERTIFIED SOCIAL WORKER
I believe that people can create the most authentic life they choose to live. Often clients come to counseling to work through predictable life transitions as marriage, career changes, or parenting issues. At other times, clients need to heal past trauma or to change the trajectory of their lives. I find that clients are sometimes living out of old “scripts” or patterns established early in life and feel stuck. Together, we explore these “stuck” places and create new patterns for a healthier and more productive life. I am a firm believer in the strength and resilience of the human spirit as I have witnessed remarkable transformations when clients are empowered to move toward the life they truly want to live.
I have over three decades in the practice of psychotherapy with individuals, couples, families and groups. I work with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, and most other life challenges. I am also a professor in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Walden University and enjoy teaching and
supervising the next generation of counselors.
